Georgian Society of Periodontology and Implantology is conducting second student championship in hand instrumentation, but the first time also post-graduate students and students from Armenia and Azerbaijan will take part in the project.
The aim of the Championship is to spread the new evidence-based information regarding non-surgical periodontal treatment and effective and safe use of manual periodontal instruments among the students from different universities in Georgia. Beyond the theoretical education, the aim of the championship is to improve students’ manual skills of supra- and sub-gingival instrumentation.
Parts of championship:
Part I (April 12) – Theoretical and practical training of students
Part II (April 13) – Conducting championship between the students
First part of the championship, theoretical part, can be attended by all students of the Dental faculty. In the practical course and championship part II (Competition) can participate the students who have completed or are taking clinical periodontology training courses and post-graduate students (After online registration, you should send a photo of the electronic journal or a certificate from the university to the email info@gspi.ge stating that the student has successfully passed or is currently passing the clinical periodontology course or document from the post-graduate center confirming you are thier student).

The championship will reveal three winners, who will be announced after participating on the theoretical (test) and practical part and accumulate maximum points.
